Tomato, Tomatah. Let's Call the Whole Thing Sauce

Mama Jess Organic Pasta Sauces

mama jess organic pasta sauces!

They say too many cooks spoils the broth. But when it comes to feeding your little fusspot, you’ll lap up help from in-laws, neighbors, and even the UPS guy. (Hey, he was at the door.)

Turns out all you need is Mama Jess. The new local line of pasta sauces (created by a mom named Jessica, naturally) is made with kids’ appetites and growing bodies in mind: wholesome, organic, gluten-free ingredients with a plucked-from-the-vine tomato taste.

It’s all good news for little eaters on a veggie strike. Along with tomato puree, the Garden Good blend sneaks in carrots, sweet potato juice concentrate, onion, squash, and red bell pepper. The Bean Good variety gives a protein kick with white bean puree.

Crack them open for spaghetti, lasagna, pizza, or chicken Parmesan. And don’t worry, your secret (sauce) is safe with us.

Available at Whole Foods Market, 1550 North Kingsbury Street, at Sheffield Avenue (312-587-0648 or wholefoodsmarket.com); online at mamajess.com, $14 for a two-pack. For a complete list of Chicago-area locations, go to wholefoodsmarket.com.
