What happens when the owner of a stylish boutique gets knocked up? She births yet another shop, of course.
Stel’s co-owner Tina Burgos had twins last year, prompting her to open her latest addition: the kids’ spot Monkey & the Bug. The subterranean store-within-a-store stocks indie-designer items not otherwise found in town. Browse clothing (Nico Nico organic leggings, Imps & Elfs denim), toys (I Golfini Della Nona stuffed animals, Confetti System metallic pinatas), and lots more.
It’s all fertile ground for gifts.
Monkey & the Bug, inside Stel’s, 334 Newbury Street, between Hereford Street and Massachusetts Avenue, Back Bay (617-262-3348 or shopstels.com).
