Unless yours is Piattini Gelateria and Cafe, sibling to Piattini wine bar. Opening Friday, the new little spot has yellow walls, copper accents, an amber chandelier, open kitchen, and Italian-style coffee bar.

The simple gourmet menu drips with options: salsiccia sandwich with sweet sausage, eggplant, tomato, watercress, and Montasio; smoked salmon toast with olive salad, roasted peppers, and anchovies. Can’t decide? Try some antipasti (roasted mushrooms, prosciutto, rosemary ham) or delicious stinky cheeses from the cart.

Tempt your sweet tooth with blueberry cake and apple torte. If you’re really after gelato (who isn’t?), try seasonal flavors like sweet potato with pecan praline, Thai coconut milk, and honeysuckle.

See? Little sisters can be sweet.
