Can You Make Change?

They say that change is the only truly constant thing in life.

Which is why you’ve always been able to turn on a dime. To go from hard-ass negotiator to loving daughter to world-class hostess all in a day.

Clearly, a shape-shifter as adept as you are needs a closet to match. So it’s time to get friendly with the Maki, a novel little fashion invention from New York City-based Trudy Miller for Clinch Design.

Debuting in Boston at Turtle Boutique, the nifty thingamajig is part accessory, part clothing. Made of mesh layers (white eyelet for summer; black, red, or tan for fall), it can be worn as everything from a filmy dress or asymmetrical skirt to a funky shrug, vest, or elegant standalone collar.

And its simple design means that dramatically changing your look is easy.

Assuming you can find a moment between meetings, that is.

Available at Turtle, 619a Tremont Street, South End (617-266-2610 or turtleboston.com).
