This time next week you’ll be elbow deep in stuffing.
Abby Lane Food & Spirits Opens
What: Jason Santos (Blue Inc.) gives theatergoers something to cheer about: a cozy 200-seater that pays homage to classic comforts like cast-iron mac ’n’ cheese, cider-brined pork tenderloin, and a buttered brioche lobster roll.
Why: Savor an individual pizza (margherita, bianco) in front of the mosaic-tiled fireplace.
When: Opens Fri. Daily, 11:30 a.m.-2 a.m.
Where: 255 Tremont St., Theatre District (617-451-2229).
What: MIT grad Jenna Fizel and partner Mary Huang bring fashion-design skills to the masses with a 3-D app that lets you impose a photograph or abstract print onto a go-everywhere dress, top, or skirt ($125-$350).
Why: The party circuit demands a grand entrance.
When: That end-of-year bonus is confirmed.
Where: At constrvct.com.
The Urban Grape Private Group Tasting
What: Gather a posse of best pals (or the just-descended extended fam) and quaff your way through a flight of vino, bubbly, beer, or sake based on your preferred holiday cheer.
Why: Last year’s subpar booze didn’t help the hangover crowd.
When: Mon.-Wed., 9:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m.; Sun., 7-9 p.m.
Where: 303 Columbus Ave., South End (857-250-2509). Starts at $150 for up to twenty people.
Through My Lens
What: Jamaica Plain photographer Jon Truslow translates his love of travel and architecture into magnificent shots of Venice, Alaska, and Utah’s Bryce Canyon.
Why: His Boston images make holiday shopping a snap.
When: Thru Dec. 16. Thurs. & Fri., 5-8 p.m.; Sat. & Sun., 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Where: Uforge Gallery, 767 Centre St., Jamaica Plain (617-553-4480).
I’m Thankful for Whiskey (and Pork)
What: Turkey, schmurkey. Get down to brass tacks with a four-course prix fixe of maple-braised pork belly, trotters, and barbecue-braised pork collar, each paired with an elaborate brown cocktail made from local spirits ($45).
Why: We’re dying to know what Ryan and Wood’s pork-infused whiskey tastes like.
When: Tonight, 5-10 p.m.
Where: Saloon, 255 Elm St., Davis Square. Reservations (recommended) to 617-628-4444.
