What: A Zen sanctuary that uses locally grown ingredients in autumnal body scrubs, herbal poultice massages, and coffee-and-cocoa slimming treatments inspired by in-hotel chefs Jody Adams (Rialto) and Peter Davis (Henrietta’s Table).
Why: The Spa for Humanity program donates 5 percent of spa package proceeds to one of four local charities, including MSPCA and EcoLogic Development Fund.

Autumn Salon at J.E.M.
What: Drink in the gorgeous, abstract landscapes of local artist Anna Kriger Lehmann, whose work is influenced by her travels to London, Egypt, Spain, Mexico, and Russia.
Why: Savor a fall-inspired Stone Fence cocktail (apple brandy, apple cider, Angostura bitters) with a little nighttime bluegrass.
