Buddy? Check. Checkbook? Check. Time to visit Field Trip’s new holiday pop-up shop.
Chaperones: Flea market junkie sibs Rinne Allen and Lucy Gillis have been traveling and collecting one-of-a-kind antiques and artisanal goodies since they were kids. This month, their finds become yours.
Location: The historic Hawthorne House foyer, decked in metallic blues and greens, has a tree festooned with vintage jewelry ornaments (and they’re for sale).
Itinerary: Prepare for a scrapbook of scouting excursions from here to Maine — antique mirrors, lighting fixtures, Brahms Mount blankets, and Fog Linen Works gingham table linens. Limited-edition Rebecca Wood pieces and Rinne’s artwork are available, too.
Bonus: Gifts are wrapped with recycled materials and natural fabrics (using the Japanese furoshiki technique) and topped with vintage stamps.
It’s all the permission slip you’ll need.
