Welcome to Hair Color Addicts Anonymous. Please introduce yourself.
Hi. My name is Aurora. And I’m a hair color addict.
It all started when Bleach Hair Addiction opened this month in Midtown. In a world of dip-dyed ends, ombre color, and full washes in purple and blue, I was a basic brunette.
Until I met Luca Castaldo.
Against a backdrop of exposed brick walls, industrial ceilings, and retro touches, I watched my lackadaisical locks hit the floor. Moments later, I peered into the mirror and fell hard for my asymmetrical cut.
My addiction just grew from there. Sometimes I’d go for a trim. Other times an updo or blowout. But it was the color that really got me hooked. We started slowly — partial highlights, eventually working our way to half. Then full. Now, as you can see, I’m rocking extensions with hot pink tips.
I’ve never felt so haute.
Bleach Hair Addiction, 3101 North Miami Avenue, suite 130 (305-372-0206). Cuts are $50 and up; color starts at $70.
