You never got that pony, so a day at the horse show always brings thrills.
Gallop to Hot to Trot Boutique, a renovated 1964 Airstream trailer-turned-treasure trove (a.k.a. Silver Bullet) that frequents equestrian events in the Southeast.
Best in Show goes to owner Polly Hemingway’s upcycled jewelry — vintage Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, and Versace buttons assembled into necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings by a local designer and silversmiths in Bali and Mexico. Wear classic Chanel CCs strung on freshwater pearls or a pair of Hermès equine studs.
Hanging at the Derby isn’t mandatory. You can check out the goods online and let Hemingway know what you fancy (custom orders are welcome).
Shop the collection at the Eco Trunk Show, April 10, 1:30-8:30 p.m., at 56 East Andrews Gallery, 56 East Andrews Drive (ecostylesouth.com), $160 and up. Available by phone order (404-550-4188) or email email@example.com. For more information, go to facebook.com.
